Washington man driving semi-truck leads law enforcement on high-speed chase through residential streets

Sources identified the man as Daren Suiter. Suiter was booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Attempt to Elude Pursuing Police Vehicle, Hit and Run, Hit and Run Unattended Property, and Theft.

As of Thursday afternoon, deputies say the trailer was stolen from the Walmart in Airway Heights, and the tractor was stolen from I-90 and Broadway.

The driver led deputies and officers on a high-speed chase through residential neighborhoods, with speed reaching reportedly at least 60 miles per hour.

Deputy Mark Gregory told KHQ that no one was hurt in the incident.

Walmart released the following statement:

"We want to thank the drivers who had the presence of mind to call local authorities after seeing our trailer being unloaded on side of the street. We also want to thank

local

police for their response and for bringing this matter to a peaceful end."
