Police investigating armed robbery at Danville store

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Police are investigating after a store was robbed at gunpoint in Danville.

Police say it happened on Thursday at about 9:30 p.m.,  at the Dollar General Store at 1424 South Main Street.

The store clerk says a black man had entered the store and pointed a gun at him. He says the suspect was wearing all black and a burgundy bandana, with a camo print, covering his face.

Police say the suspect gave the clerk a duffel bag and told him to "fill the bag".  After the clerk placed an undetermined amount of money in the bag, the suspect told the clerk to hand it to him and he ran out the front door.

No shots were fired and there were no injuries reported. Police have not made any arrests.
