Danville police investigating after three people found dead early Thursday morning

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Danville police are investigating the deaths of three people, which happened on Thursday.

At 2:13 a.m. on December 8, Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive man in a car in the median of Route 29 near the intersection of Realty Road in Pittsylvania County.

When they arrived, they found the man, who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, which appeared to be self-inflicted, according to the Danville Police Department.

The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Dylan Roy Milam of Danville.

The Danville Police Department was contacted to check the vehicle registration address in the 900 block of Luna Lake Road.

Once on the scene at Luna Lake Road, officers discovered the home on fire and the Danville Fire Department and rescue personnel were called.

In the process of extinguishing the fire, firefighters found two bodies inside the home Both individuals had injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, according to police.

The victims have been identified as 53-year-old Linda Lawson Milam and 57-year-old Mark Steven Duncan, both residents of the Luna Lake Road address.

The incident on Luna Lake Road is being investigated as a homicide.

All three bodies have been transported to the Roanoke Medical Examiner's Office for further investigation.

The Danville Police Department will be working with the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office during this investigation.

Law enforcement is not currently searching for a suspect in this investigation
