3-month-old girl dies after Rockbridge County crash

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A 3-month-old girl died on Monday after a crash on Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County on Sunday.

At 3:55 a.m., on I-81 N about a half mile south of Route 606, a 2000 Chevrolet Lumina ran off the left side of the road and overturned, according to state police.

Police say the 3-month-old, Brooklynn Breeding, was in a child safety seat and was ejected from the vehicle. She died at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Monday.

The driver, Brandon Easterling, 27, of Barboursville, Va., faces a charge of involuntary manslaughter. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
