Hokies in the hunt for 10-win season

BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - Just days after the ACC Championship loss to Clemson, the Hokies are turning their attention to the Belk Bowl against Arkansas, where they look for their 10th win of the season.

"It would mean everything. You know, during my time here, I don't think I've had a 10-win season, so it would mean everything to leave with a win and to send the other seniors out with a 10-win season," said Hokies safety Chuck Clark.

Wide receiver Cam Phillips agreed. "Going from single digits to double digits is a big thing, especially around here, and a lot of people weren't thinking we would be in this position, winning the Coastal, playing for an ACC Championship and Arkansas, what I do know is that they're in the SEC and has big bodies."

The Belk Bowl is December 29 in Charlotte, North Carolina, a location favorable to Virginia Tech fans.

"I'm looking forward to having a good turnout from Hokie Nation because it's not too far away and I know a lot of fans will travel there and support us for our last game of the season, so I can't wait," said Hokies fullback Sam Rogers.

"It's always good to go to a game knowing your fans are going to be there. They definitely help us out on the sideline and on the field just hearing them cheer 'let's go Hokies' and everything. So just know if it's going to be in a close area, in Charlotte, it's right down the road, a small little road trip so pretty excited to see all the fans travel," added defensive tackle Nigel Williams.

It'll be an ACC vs. SEC battle as the Hokies face the Razorbacks at Bank of America Stadium December 29 at 5:30 p.m.
