Habitat for Humanity ReStore holds grand re-opening

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is back open for business.

A grand re-opening was held on Saturday as the store has been closed since August due to construction at its new location.

Members of the organization said the store is more convenient for the community as it's now one level, has heat and air conditioning and is open longer.

It also helps people in the Roanoke Valley get a new home.

"All of the proceeds from sales of the merchandise in the store, those funds are directly used to build more houses. The store revenue every year covers about two construction projects," said Jenny Lee, the development director for Habitat for Humanity.

The store is located at 3435 Melrose Avenue NW.
