LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) – Crews are back out at the construction site at the Hopkins family home, putting up siding and hanging dry wall.
Volunteers spent Thursday working on the roof and installing electrical wiring.
Their efforts are a labor of love that will continue until December 15, when WSLS 10 hands over the keys live on WSLS 10 News at Noon.
“It’s our community. This is our home. This is where we live. There are those in need around us. And if you have the ability, then you have the responsibility to give,” said Zachary Newlun, a sales representative for Lynchburg Roofing.
Next week, crews will install doors, floors and counter tops.
Painting is also expected to be finished.
