CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - The Montgomery County Christmas Store is almost open for business to help less fortunate families have a good holiday season.
The store is celebrating its 35th year of giving. The goal is to serve 1,500 families this year.
Qualified customers can shop for clothes, toys, household items and food for free.
The store raised $168,000 so far, with a fundraising goal of $233,000. Volunteers are still accepting certain new and used donations for the store.
There will be an open house on December 4. The store will open to customers December 6-10.
