Roanoke man charged in connection to Rocky Mount home invasion and robbery

FRANKLIN COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The man who deputies say broke into a Rocky Mount home on Tuesday and stole cash and jewelry is now in custody.

Dustin Lewis Moseley, 23, of Roanoke, is charged with robbery in connection to the incident.

On November 29, at 4:43 p.m., the Franklin County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call in the 20 block of Ronnies Lane in Rocky Mount, in reference to a home invasion and robbery.

People at the home reported that a man, armed with a handgun, came into the home and forced an elderly man at the home into a bathroom.

The suspect then took a safe containing money and jewelry from the home and left.

Investigators collected evidence and were able to identify a suspect through interviews.

A search warrant was executed in the city of Roanoke with the assistance of the Roanoke Police Department, on Wednesday and they arrested Mosley.

The sheriff's office says investigation is still ongoing.
