DANVILLE (WSLS 10) – God’s Pit Crew received word on Thursday afternoon from the Emergency Services Director for Sevier County, Tennessee. The director stated that at this time, they have not made enough progress, since the wildfire disaster this week, to manage the massive number of volunteer organizations who are wanting to provide assistance to the fire victims.
The local director also stated that he is so appreciative and grateful for everyone who is offering assistance, but at this time, no entry to the affected areas will be allowed.
God’s Pit Crew continues to stand ready to respond if and when assistance is needed.
