Christiansburg's Cromer Steps Down

Christiansburg (WSLS-10 SPORTS)- After 15 seasons at the helm of the Blue Demons, Christiansburg Head football coach Tim Cromer has resigned his post.

Cromer led his team to the VHSL playoffs  in 10 seasons, including playing for the Division 4 state title in 2011. Christiansburg fell to Briar Woods in the Division 4 state final 28-26.   In a three year stretch from 2009-2011 the Blue Demons were an outstanding 34-7 .Cromer racked up three region championships and three regional runner-up finishes.  Cromer's overall coaching record at CHS was 98-75 and his VHSL playoff record was 13-10.

"The Blue Demon football team will miss Coach Cromer," said Principal Tony Deibler in a release by the school. "He is dedicated to our students and to their success both on and off the field."

Cromer will remain in his role as a health and physical education teacher at CHS, and will continue to serve as an assistant coach for the CHS indoor and outdoor track programs.
