Salem church feeds hundreds this Thanksgiving

SALEM (WSLS 10) - People in Salem are giving thanks for those who give their time during the holidays.

Dozens of volunteers made an annual Thanksgiving dinner at Salem Presbyterian Church on Thursday.

The event has served hundreds of people each year for more than two decades.

"One of the things I love about it is some of the people that come are needing a meal, some people just need the company and some people are looking for fellowship when their families live elsewhere and so its a chance to get together with others," said Associate Pastor Janet Chisom.

For those who didn't want to dine in, the church also offered take out meals.
