Nine guns stolen from vehicles in Danville this November

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - The Danville Police Department is reminding people to secure personal belongings in light of a string of gun thefts of vehicles.

During the past three months, 32 firearms were reported stolen in the city. Police say the majority of them were stolen from vehicles or residential burglaries.

Of that 32, nine guns were stolen from vehicles this month.

If you own a firearm police ask that you don't leave it unattended inside of a vehicle It is also recommended all firearms be stored and secured properly and safely inside of a residence.
