(WSLS 10) - A ribbon cutting ceremony takes place today for a new housing development in White Sulphur Springs. Hope Village will house those whose homes were destroyed by this summer's flood. Families owning property in the flood plain can trade their property, using its value toward a new home. The traded properties will be developed into a community park.

People in Bedford County can have Coffee with a Cop today. Local, state and federal law enforcement will be at the McDonalds at the Forest Square Shopping Center this morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The program is a national initiative designed to bring the community and law enforcement together in a casual and neutral location. This is the first coffee with a cop in Bedford County.

The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors is expected to name its new County Administrator today. The board will also extend the contract for current administrator Clarence Monday through January 15th. Monday submitted his resignation in March.
