Danville Community College students participate in the Mannequin Challenge

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) – Danville Community College students and staff participated in the wildly popular Mannequin Challenge on Tuesday.

The campus-wide challenge took place in the college’s student center.

The goal is to hold a pose and take a video of yourself or your group and post the video on social media using #mannequinchallenge.

DCC’s student senate organized the event in an effort to encourage students from different groups and clubs to interact with each other.

“It was about student engagement. I’m trying to encourage that with the students here and have something fun to do,” said student senate vice president Patrice Gear. “We’re always trying to find something to do and this was actually perfect in trying to keep up with the trends on social media.”

About two dozen students and staff participated in the challenge.
