Alleghany County animal shelter reunites Idaho couple with dogs

ALLEGHANY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - An Idaho couple will celebrate Thanksgiving with their four-legged children thanks to a local animal shelter.

Staff at the Alleghany Humane Society recently drove through the night to reunite “Baby Girl” and “Dobbie” with owner Michele Horton.

Michele and her fiancé were separated from the dogs after getting into an accident on Interstate 64 in Alleghany County and ending up in the hospital.

“I ran, all the way across the parking lot. I called the dog’s names and they let them go and I hit the ground in tears, just hugging my dogs,” said Michele

She added that she looks forward to giving back to the Alleghany Humane Society for effort staff put in to bringing her family back together.
