Radford man arrested for attempted rape, breaking and entering

RADFORD (WSLS 10) - Police have arrested a man wanted for breaking into a home and attempting to rape a woman.

City police responded to a call Thursday of breaking and entering, where a woman woke up to a man sexually assaulting her.

Police say the suspect ran away.

The Investigation led police to identify the man as the man as Glenn Aaron Revel.

Revel, 25, of Radford, was arrested and charged with: attempt to commit rape, commit aggravated sexual battery, breaking and entering in the nighttime with the intent to commit murder, rape, robbery, or arson, intentionally destroy, deface, or damage with the value of, or damage to, such property being less than $1,000.

He is currently being held without bound at the New River Valley Regional Jail.
