Pittsylvania company pledges $22 million investment

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A company in Pittsylvania County is announcing its plans to invest 22 million dollars and bring at least 30 full-time jobs to the area.

The Intertape Polymer Group plans to renovate its existing facility to the east of Danville, and will add new machinery and product lines.

The company is a tape and film manufacturer, and each new position will pay at least 36-thousand dollars a year.

"They have offered a grant to help us with the project, so it's really gone a long ways to helping us secure the funding for these projects, so it's going to be a win win for the county and Intertape," said Intertape Operations Manager Mike Jones.

The company is expected to make that 22 million dollar investment over the next three years.
