Lynchburg man dies after being shot in early November

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - One of two men shot earlier this month on Tenbury Drive in Lynchburg died on Monday.

Dae'ron Smith, 20, of Lynchburg, died while at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

The other man shot on November 3, 21-year-old Jaumal Wilkerson Jr., of Lynchburg, was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital.

The police department is still investigating the shooting.

At about 1:05 a.m. on November 3, police responded two the 1400 block of Tenbury Drive where they say they found the two men on the ground after being shot multiple times.

Witnesses from that night described both shooters as black men, between 5-feet-9-inches tall and 6-feet tall with thin builds.
