Police looking for two suspects charged in Marion shootout

MARION (WSLS 10) - The Marion Police Department is looking for two of the three suspects who were charged in connection to a shootout in Marion.

Police responded to the area of Prater Lane and Louise Avenue, on Friday, in reference to reported gunfire.

Upon arrival officers found that two groups of people had exchanged gunfire.

Police say evidence indicates that shots were fired from the roadway towards a home on Louise Avenue, and shots were also fired from the home back towards the roadway.

So far, three people have been charged in relation to the shooting:

  • Torry Chamont Perkins of Marion- Held without bail at Abingdon Regional Jail
  • Lenar Tyree Perkins of Marion- Still at large
  • Lamont Alexander Perkins of Marion- Still at large

All three are charged with five counts of attempted murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Different avenues of motive are being investigated at this time.

Police say no one was hurt during the incident.
