Police release the name of driver killed in Washington County crash

WASHINGTON COUNTY (WSLS 10) – Virginia State Police continue to investigate a fatal crash in Washington County. It happened at 3:44 p.m., Wednesday (Nov. 9).

State police were called to the scene crash on Route 58 at Route 600. Authorities said a tractor-trailer was traveling west on Route 58, as it came through a curve the tractor-trailer overturned onto its side in the roadway.

The driver, Ernest Miles, 51, of Graland Texas, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle said police. He died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the State Police Motor Carrier Safety Team.
