Brush fire in Roanoke County causes $15,000 in damages

ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A brush fire in Roanoke County caused an estimated $15,000 in damages.

Roanoke County Fire & Rescue crews responded to to the 4700 block of Twelve o'clock Knob Road for a reported fire at about 12:30 a.m. on Friday.

Crews from Cave Spring, Back Creek, and Mount Pleasant have been able to get a containment line around the brush fire. .

Crews say although it is currently contained, they are worried about the strong winds expected today.

About an acre has burned along with a detached shed, a pop-up style camper, and a vehicle.

No injuries have been reported.
