(WSLS 10) – The Lexington and Rockbridge Area Tourism office holds a workshop today for entrepreneurs looking to get into the outdoor recreation business. You will have the chance to talk to outfitters, restaurants and government agencies and get your questions answered.

Friends and family of Jermaine Black will honor his life today. They will release balloons this evening. He would have turned 27 years old this week. Black was killed in the shooting at Monsters Bar and Grill in Roanoke in September.

Grocery retailer Kroger holds job interviews today for military veterans and their families. You can apply online and then go to the store between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The event will take place at stores throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

Two Hidden Valley High School students will sign letters of intent to play sports at the college level. Cody Boone will sign to play baseball at Radford and Kiana Cook will play softball at Christopher Newport.

VDOT will use new technology today to keep drivers safe. Transportation workers will use drones to inspect bridges in Portsmouth.
