Sheriff's Office investigating armed robbery in Henry County

HENRY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Henry County Sheriff's Office is searching for the man it says committed armed robbery on Tuesday.

The sheriff's office is currently investigating the robbery at the LoanMax Title Loans at 1150 Memorial Boulevard in Martinsville that happened at 5:13 p.m.

A man entered the business with a handgun in each hand, according to the sheriff's office and demanded the employees give him the money from both the money drawer and safe.

He's described as being 6-feet-tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

He ran away LoanMax Title Loans with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Henry County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance to identify the individual involved in this robbery.

Specifically, the sheriff's office would like to talk with anyone who may have seen something suspicious while near the intersection of Commonwealth Boulevard and Memorial Boulevard or any of the adjacent businesses during this time.

Anyone having information regarding the identity and whereabouts of this man is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff's Office at 276-638-8751 or Crimestoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7463). The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2,500 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
