Four year old honored for saving mom


ROANOKE (WSLS10) – One child is being recognized for his bravery for saving his mom after she got hurt. Roanoke City fire fighters honored 4 year old Jamison Ferguson Sunday.

He called his aunt after his mom stepped off the porch of her home and passed out, family members said Jamison stayed with his mom until paramedics arrived.

She said she’s grateful her son was calm during the incident.

“Very thankful that he was there very proud of him that he knew what to do and he stayed calm and made sure I was ok, held my hand, rubbed my head make sure I didn’t fall asleep,” Jamison’s mom said.

Jamison said he wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.
