Conference Volleyball Finals Grab Spotlight

ROANOKE (WSLS-10 SPORTS)-  It was a mammoth night in gyms all across the area, as conference volleyball finals were decided all over SW Virginia. In the Conference 24 finals, William Byrd fell at Salem 3-0. The Spartans will play host on Monday night in Region tournament action.  At Patrick Henry High, the Patriots took down Albemarle 3 games to one to win the 5A Conference 16 title. At Lord Botetourt, visiting Northside outlasted the Cavaliers in 5 games for the win. Lord Botetourt will travel to Hidden Valley on Monday in Region tournament action. Hidden Valley was a 3-1 winner over Blacksburg to win Conference 32. Franklin County fell to Cosby in the Conference 3 final.  Liberty Christian Academy defeated Jefferson Forest 3-0 to take Conference 23 honors, while James River defeated Giles for the Conference 38 crown. And Radford toppled Auburn 3-1 to win Conference 45.
