PHCC looking for 'solid feedback' from Martinsville, Henry County

HENRY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Patrick Henry Community College is looking to learn how people in Martinsville and Henry County think the college can best serve them in the future.

On Thursday, starting at 6 p.m., the college is hosting a town hall.

The president and vice president will be sharing their goals, as well as the goals the Virginia Community College System has set for the college over the next several years.

After that, people will be able to ask questions and offer comments.

The college also held a town hall in Patrick County last week to hear from people there.

"We don't tell the workforce what it needs, they tell us what they need," said Dr. Greg Hodges, the college's vice president of institutional advancement, effectiveness and campus life. "So, what we're looking for from them is solid feedback on programs that we're not currently delivering that we can be or ways that we can reach out even further into our school systems."

The college plans to start holding town hall meetings every year in the fall.
