Daytime Kitchen: Hot Cocktails

The weather will be cooling down pretty soon, and what better way to warm up from the cool weather than with a hot cocktail? Mixologist Ashley Vinci is showing us a few hot cocktails.

Here's the recipes:

Red Wine Hot Chocolate

1 1/2 cup milk

1 cup red wine

1/3 cup dark chocolate chunks

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine milk and chocolate chips. Whisk continuously until the chocolate has melted into the milk to make a creamy mixture. Add the red wine to the saucepan and heat liquid to desired temperature. Do not boil. Garnish with whip cream.

This recipe makes enough for 2 mugs so share with a friend!

Apple Cider Toddy

1oz Jack Daniels Honey ( or your favorite bourbon)

1 oz honey

1 cup apple cider

In a saucepan heat apple cider and honey until mixture begins to steam or honey is dissolved completely. Pour bourbon into your favorite mug and top it with the heated cider concoction. Garnish with apple slice and cinnamon stick.
