Junior Achievement Honors Roanoke Businessmen

ROANOKE (WSLS10) — Junior Achievement honored the community’s top business leaders, at a gala at the Hotel Roanoke on Tuesday night.

Smith Mountain Lake developer Ron Willard, and Foot Levelers CEO Kent Greenawalt were inducted into the Junior Achievement of Southwest Virginia Business Hall of Fame tonight.

And the Salvage Dawgs — Robert Kulp and Mike Whiteside of Black Dog Salvage were honored as the Entrepreneurs of the Year.

There were about 400 people in attendance.

The event  is one of the largest annual fundraisers for Junior Achievement. Greenawalt surprised the organization by announcing he would match up to $50,000 in gifts to JA between now and the end of the week.
