Ernie’s reopens in Roanoke

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) – Down home breakfast makes a comeback in downtown Roanoke.

After shutting down three years ago, Ernie’s has officially reopened in the former Blue’s BBQ Company location.

Ernie’s used to be located where Jack Brown’s now sits.

After four months of renovations,Scotty Smith, one of the owners, said they are glad to return with their traditional menu.

“Excited to be open, be back downtown,” said Smith.”It’s like the breakfast you grew up on if you’re from around here, like I said, sausage, gravy, eggs.”

The restaurant is open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.
