BEDFORD (WSLS 10) - Bedford County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested a Campbell County man and charged him with five burglaries.
Bedford teamed with Altavista Police Department and Campbell County Sheriff's Office and arrested 31-year-old Michael Ray Ferguson, Jr. He was also charged with five counts of grand larceny.
Deputies say the burglaries happened during daylight hours between October 4 and October 20. Three guns were recovered by Investigators that had been reported stolen by victims of the crimes.
Ferguson is being held in the Amherst Adult Detention Center.
Earlier this month Bedford County Sheriff's investigators arrested 59-year-old Roncervette D. Saunders of Lynchburg.
He has been charged with two counts of receiving stolen firearms and other property, and two counts of selling stolen firearms and property.
Authorities say all of the items are connected to the Southside Bedford county burglaries and more charges are expected.
