Three engines, one ladder truck, three support vehicles and the Regional One EMS responded to the 911 call.

Scearce says the house was unable to be saved, but despite heavy smoke and fire damage, crews were able to get the fire under control with about an hour.

In all, it took firefighters around four hours on the scene to mitigate the fire. No one was at home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
