Tree limb falls, damages three cars in Roanoke

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Two local women were inside their cars when a huge tree limb fell on them.

The limb damaged three cars when it came down on Crystal Spring Avenue in Roanoke. Fortunately no one was hurt.

Tracy Bishop says she had just finished lunch at Fork in the Alley, and was sitting in the driver's seat when it happened.

"It sounded like a car was going over the road driving on acorns. I heard the cracking and popping, and then two seconds later, I saw the tree coming down on me and I screamed, "No!" she said. "Because what was going through my head was, is this tree going to fall through the windshield, is it going to fall through the hood? And then it was over and I just sat there for a minute and realized I could open my door and got out."

Another woman says she was coming back from volunteering at Carilion when it happened.

She says she hopes she will be brave enough to drive again.
