(WSLS 10) – The man accused of exposing himself in a Christiansburg Goodwill store will be in court today. Jack Lewis is charged with actual or simulated masturbation in public and indecent exposure.

The Smith Mountain Lake YMCA holds an Active Aging Expo today. Several vendors will be there, representing health agencies, assisted living facilities, merchants and more. It runs from 11 a.m to 3 p.m.

The Roanoke Valley SPCA holds its annual Spay-Ghetti dinner today. Enjoy a full Italian meal of spaghetti, bread, salad and a drink for $9. Proceeds benefit the spay and neuter program at the SPCA. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Hall at the Jefferson Center.

A Danville murder suspect returns to court today after being order to undergo a psychological evaluation. The Commonwealth’s Attorney says that a judge granted Aisha Saunders’ attorney request for the evaluation in September. The judge also removed the lawyer from the case because he felt the defense was trying to stall the case. Saunders faces multiple charges in connection with the stabbing death of an 18 year old last November.

LewisGale Regional Cancer Center in Pulaski holds a free Cancer Awareness Health Fair tonight from 5:30 to 7:30. The event features free health screenings and information. Screenings for skin, prostate, cervical and colon cancer will be offered.

Join others in Bedford County to honor and support those affected by domestic Violence. A candlelight vigil and walk will talk place tonight. It begins at the Bedford County Court House at 5:30 p.m. and ends at the memorial garden beside the fire department.

Walmart brings online grocery shopping to some of its stores in the Roanoke Valley starting today. You can go online and place your order, then select your pickup time. There will be reserved parking spaces for you to go to pick up your groceries. The service is free and, for now, will only be available at the stores in Bonsack and Clearbrook.

The West Piedmont Health District holds a drive-thru flu clinic today. Nurses will be at the Scruggs Fire, Rescue and Dive Squad building between 9:30 and 11:30 this morning to give the vaccines. Only 300 are available and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis to those over the age of 18. The Centers for Disease Control says that flu activity is currently sporadic in Virginia.

Today is the last day to submit your comments in the city of Lynchburg’s “How are we doing” survey. The survey looks at 12 different area including arts and culture, economic development and infrastructure. The results will be used to by city council and staff to make decision about the future of the city.

The Lexington-Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce holds a candidate forum tonight. Candidates for the office of mayor in Lexington, Lexington City Council and Buena Vista City Council will answer questions. The forum begins at 6 p.m. at Hampton Inn in Lexington.

The Roanoke Valley Veterans Council holds its Veterans Legislative Forum today. There are several initiatives on the agenda including increasing the guard income tax subtraction from $3,000 to $5,000, giving in-state tuition to all members of the Reserve Components, adding a new, full-time position for the Virginia Veteran and Family Support and allowing overseas military to cast absentee ballots electronically. Several state senators and delegates are expected to attend.
