ROANOKE (WSLS 10) – An investigation is underway after a fire destroyed a building in Roanoke on Sunday.

Piles of rubble are all that’s left at the former Roanoke City Schools maintenance building, which is now owned by Carilion.

Crews knocked the building down following a fire early Sunday morning.

Firefighters spent hours battling the flames.

Thankfully no one was hurt.

There’s still no word on the cost of damages or the cause.
