Virginia officials to revisit restrictions on abortion clinics

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia officials are re-visiting building codes and other restrictions on state abortion clinics that were approved by former Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell.

Television station WWBT-TV (http://bit.ly/2esSrmm ) reports that the Virginia Board of Health will vote Monday on dozens of amendments to the 2013 abortion restrictions. New board members appointed by Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe are expected to alter the regulations.

After a vote Monday, the new provisions will be reviewed in a 30-day public comment period and then signed into law by McAuliffe.
