Angels of Assisi's gets new rescue-adoption vehicle

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Angels of Assisi in Roanoke has a new rescue-adoption vehicle and its already racking up the miles.

While picking up the truck, the non-profit stopped in North Carolina to pick up several cats and dogs from an area that flooded after Hurricane Matthew.

This is Angels third trip to pick up pets from areas affected by the storm.

The shelter plans to have its new vehicle out as much as possible with spay-neuter transport, rescues and adoption events.

A grant from the Petco Foundation helped to pay for it.
