Two people charged after high speed chase in Louisa County

LOUISA COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Two people from Tennessee are facing charges after a high speed chase and shooting involving Virginia State Police.

It happened Saturday afternoon on I-64 near mile marker 160 in Louisa County.

Police say a trooper tried to stop a car from speeding when a woman driving took off.

Authorities say the man in the car shot at the trooper during the chase.

33-year-old Mistri Griffith and 32-year-old Paul Zamorano are both facing several felony charges.

The trooper was not hurt and the incident is still under investigation.
