Roanoke author Beth Macy releases 'Truevine', true story of kidnapped Black Albino brothers

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - New York Times best selling author and Roanoke resident Beth Macy is releasing another book highlighting a unique story in Southwest Virginia. "Truevine" comes out this week. It tells the story of two Black Albino brothers kidnapped from Franklin County in 1899.

George and Willie Muse were captured and became part of a circus show. The brothers performed all over the world and healdined sold out shows. Meanwhile their mother was living in the Roanoke area and spent decades trying to find her captured sons.
