Murder suspects found in Rockbridge County waive right to attorney and extradition

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Two suspects arrested in Rockbridge County for a murder in Massachusetts will soon head back to their home state.

Joshua Hart and Brittany Smith appeared in Rockbridge County General District Court on Tuesday in front of Judge Gordon Saunders.

The two waived their right to an attorney and extradition.

Both face several charges including murder and attempted murder.

The sheriff's office received a be-on-the-lookout alert after police in Massachusetts found a 95-year-old man dead and his 77-year-old wife seriously hurt following a home invasion.

Deputies found Hart and Smith inside a U-haul trailer at the Rockbridge County Wal-Mart on Saturday.
