Marcus Vick arrested in Newport News, charged with drug possession

WAVY – NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News police say Marcus Vick was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 8, and is now facing a drug possession charge.

Police say Vick, 32, was arrested after they received a drug complaint on Radius Way in Newport News.

An officer reportedly detected an odor of marijuana coming from an apartment as they approached it. This odor became stronger after the door was opened by a man inside, who was later identified as Vick

The responding officer asked Vick if he minded if police came inside, to which Vick reportedly responded, "No."

Officers detained Vick and four others inside the apartment. It was later determined that the apartment was Vick's.

Vick was charged with possession of a schedule I or II drug following a search of the apartment.
