Sebastian Posey, Media General – SAVANNAH, Ga. (MEDIA GENERAL) – Hurricane Matthew has passed through Savannah. While the storm is gone, its effects linger Saturday across the area.

Flooding has been a major problem through the morning hours. We've seen flooded cars all over the parking lot of our hotel. It also has washed out roadways, leading to closures all over Savannah.

But as the water clears out, Matthew's impact can still be seen in the amount of damage around town. For our crew, we haven't been able to make it very far from the hotel due to washed out roads, but it's clear in this small space that Matthew left his mark.

Trees are down, debris is all over the roads, and even a knocked down traffic light, can be seen just outside our hotel in Savannah's midtown.

We will continue updating you with the latest on the storm damage here in Savannah as we learn more.
