CRAIG COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A Craig County High School student has a confirmed case of a staph infection, according to Superintendent Jeanette Warwick. A letter was sent home to parents on Friday detailing what the school was doing since the diagnosis.

Initially it was believed to be MRSA, but the Virginia Department of Health said it was only a staph infection, which can be treated with antibiotics.

The school says that as a precaution, it's cleaning and disinfecting all gym equipment, bathroom and locker rooms daily to make sure it does not spread.
