U.S. Inspectors Office investigates Clifton Forge mail theft

ALLEGHENY COUNTY (WSLS 10) –  If you live in Alleghany County, you may be receiving a letter about stolen mail.

According to the U.S. Postal Service, a contracted mail hauler stole mail from people living in Clifton Forge.

The case is still being investigated.

According to the letter, items that were recovered have been mailed back to residents in the condition in which they were found.

Investigators from the U.S. Inspectors office in Richmond are looking into the case.
