Ted Miller, WBAY – Politics may have no fury like Latinos on Twitter.
During Tuesday night's vice presidential debate, Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine made frequent jabs at Donald Trump's remark when announcing his presidential bid that Mexico is sending rapists, drugs and criminals across the border. At one point Republican Gov. Mike Pence had enough and said, "You whipped out that Mexican thing again."

It may become the most remembered line of the debate.
Despite only appearing within the last three hours, by 11:30 p.m. #ThatMexicanThing was the second most popular hashtag of the day, according to Hashtagify.me. A man in Portland, Ore., even created the web address Thatmexicanthing.com and redirected visitors to Hillary Clinton's campaign website.
Last month when a surrogate for Trump's campaign, the founder of Latinos for Trump, said a Clinton presidency could lead to "taco trucks on every corner," the concept quickly became a popular hashtag and meme on the internet as people jokingly relished the delicious possibilities.
For people in the Twitterverse, "that Mexican thing" was much more personal.
