Sebastian Posey – TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (Media General) -- At least half a million people on the east coast are urged to evacuate their homes Wednesday. Hurricane Matthew, which is already to blame for 11 deaths in the Caribbean, as well as, heavy damage to Haiti, is heading towards the United States. The National Hurricane Center says the storm could make landfall anywhere between Florida and North Carolina.

Tybee Island is under a mandatory evacuation order right now. Other nearby communities east of I-95 are under voluntary evacuations.
