Martinsville School Board names Talley as superintendent

MARTINSVILLE (WSLS 10) - Martinsville City Schools will soon once again have a permanent superintendent.

The school board has selected Dr. Zeb Talley, who was appointed as interim superintendent in July after former superintendent Pam Heath retired early amid complaints about lack of diversity among teachers and staff.

Talley said he is looking forward to continue the progress the district has made in the last three months.

"Hiring our assistant principals, now getting resources in rooms and, again, focusing on families and creating the right environment in our school division," Talley explained.

He will officially be appointed superintendent at next week's school board meeting.
