Lynchburg Library expecting major facelift in 2017

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) – Major renovations are coming to the Lynchburg Library. The last time the inside was renovated was back in 1984, when the building was converted from a Sears store, according library director Marilyn Martin.

Now, a number of upgrades are needed. The director told us total renovations could cost $450,000. The library and the city’s public works department are footing the bill and construction is expected to begin July 2017.

On Wednesday night, the library is holding a public input meeting starting at 6 p.m.
