Prince George County Police investigating death of special needs student


PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating the death of a special needs student who attended Prince George County High School.

Prince George County Police said they are not releasing the name of the juvenile victim.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 21. The 911 call was received in the Prince George County Police Center at 2:46 p.m. by the “front office” staff of the high school.

The victim was initially taken to John Randolph Hospital then flown to VCU Medical Center where he died on September 26.

Police are continuing to investigate.
