Danville police investigating fatal shooting

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) – Police say a 47-year-old Danville man is dead after being shot on Friday morning in the city.

At about 10 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Aspen Street for a report of someone being shot. When they arrived, they found a man who was had apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced non-viable at the scene by EMS.

The victim has been identified as Mark Anthony Graves. He will be sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke for an autopsy.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
